Memorial Day Weekend

God bless all the men and women that serve our country.
It is truly amazing what these people do.
I will forever be grateful.

We didn't go on a trip anywhere, or really do anything special...
But it was nice just spending some quality time with Mr. Franks & K.
We spent Saturday, Sunday, and Monday just hanging out outside.
Playing games, running through the sprinkler, playing at the park
And lots and lots of food!

I had so much fun that I really didn't take any pictures.
I'm so terrible at that! lol
But I did happen to catch this cute one of K on Thursday.

Hope everyone had a fun & safe holiday weekend!

my FRIDAY'S FANCIES

Happy Friday loves!
I'm linking up with long distance loving today
for a Memorial Day my friday's fancies.

So here is my Memorial Day dream outfit.
obsess about adore maxi dresses.
However, my husband does not.
But in my dream world, we will just not think about that.

Dress : Earrings : Shades : Clutch : Ring : Sandals

I also just had wanted to make another outfit,
as I feel like you don't have to be so red, white, and blue on these holidays
(even though I think it is cute to do so)
I added a little punch of yellow to make it fun!
And I could not resist that adorable nautical clutch.

Weekend Fun :)

This past weekend I worked my second 6 day week in a row. I am only functioning right now due to lots and lots coffee! It was a gorgeous weekend so we spent the whole time outdoors. My daughter played in the sprinkler and we BBQ'd for the first time this year on Sunday. Here are a few pics from the weekend...

Me sitting on the deck enjoying the warm weather

K found one of Daddy's tums and made me take a picture
of what she did with it :)

You win some, you lose some...

Just enjoy your company
drink some beer
and eat lots of fattening food
And it'll be all right!
At least for me :)

Here are some pics from our game.

Late Mother's Day Post

Hope everyone had an amazing Mother's Day!
I certainly did.

At school, my daughter made me a jar decorated with buttons, and filled with delicious cookies! An adorable card. And planted her first flower.

Her Dad took her out to pick me out a gift. And she decided she wanted to make me a Build-A-Bear. Those are seriously her favorite things. I avoid that store like the plague when we are making a quick trip to the mall. Before she gave me the gift she asked me, "After you open it, can I play with it?" I'm thinking to myself, what could she possibly have gotten for me? And needless to say, she has been sleeping with it every night. :)

We drove up and spent the day with my husband's grandparents in Allentown, PA. It was a gorgeous day. And we had a wonderful time snacking, playing frisbee, watching the kids run around with squirt guns (and occasionally soaking an adult), and playing wiffle ball (until my hubby accidentally hit the ball right at my side). I was done after that.

So that was our day.
How was yours?

Thoughtful Thursday

I really need to take this advice recently.
Non-stop I feel like I am just worrying about every.little.thing.
And it is beyond frustrating!
So I am going to try to take this advice and just believe
that everything will work out in the end.

Do you ever get into one of these moods?
And how do you move on from it?

What I'm L♥ving Wednesday

First, I want to share a few items that I'm currently loving on Pinterest...

This quote...

This gorgeous springy outfit...
This yummy delicious breakfast...

And this beautiful flower arrangement...

I'm also loving that this Saturday night, I will be watching my Phillies at Citizen's Bank Park!

And of course, so much love to my husband, babygirl, and all my wonderful friends and family! :)

So what are you loving today??

I'm linking up with This Kind of Love for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Weekend Fun!

Ahh... still recovering from this weekend. So Friday, after work, I stop at the gas station (as usual, I was running on empty). Somehow, I managed to lose my debit card. I realized this when I went to order dinner that night, and could not find it anywhere. Searched my purse about 10 times, and then the car a few times... but it was nowhere to be found. Luckily, I work for the bank, so I was able to contact my manager and close my card right away. I checked my account on Monday, when I got back to work, and found out someone did try to use it a few hours after I cancelled it. What is wrong with people? I know times are tough, but SHEESH! I could never imagine stealing money from someone. But luckily, my card was already closed, so don't need to worry about disputing anything. It just irks me how rude and inconsiderate people are. Anywho... moving on to the better part of my weekend...

Saturday, we left our house bright and early for our beach house in Ocean City, Maryland. We spent the day at the boardwalk. They had Spring Fest going on so there were tons of food, music, crafts, and some bounce houses. Here are some pics of our day...

Mr. Franks winning lots of tickets!

K showing me the tickets she won.

K won her first toy in the claw machine all by herself!
It was the pig from Angry Birds :)

The weather was not so great, but we still had fun! Just wish I could K to look at the camera more often! lol And I had on this gorgeous dress, but since it was too chilly at the boardwalk, I had to cover it up with a jacket. Here is what the gorgeous dress looks like...

Sunday was spent celebrating my nephew and godson's First Holy Communion. He looked so handsome in his suit. :)

It's FINALLY Friday !!

Love this song. Gets me ready for the weekend!
Every Friday, K & I get to hear it on the way home from work.
We know exactly what time it will come on our country station.
Some may think that's a little pathetic, but I don't care.
It's something I get to share with my little princess,
and I couldn't be more happy than when I hear her little voice singing all the words.
So cute! :)

So, I was really just popping in to say "Hi!" and "Happy Friday!"
Hope everyone has a safe & happy weekend!
We will be spending tomorrow in Ocean City, MD.
And Sunday will be filled with...
grocery shopping
my nephew's First Holy Communion
and seeing my friend's new puppy!

I'll leave this with a picture of my daughter's art for the week...

Thoughtful Thursday

A gift consists not in what is done or given,
but in the intention of the giver or doer.

- Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Love this quote VERY much. Just spoke to a customer at work today who wanted us to refund her an overdraft fee because she needs to use the money to buy flowers for the "neighborhood godmother" who passed away. She has had many fees waived in the past, so we were unable to adjust it for her.

I just have trouble understanding why anyone would spend their last dollars on a gift for someone. Yes, it's a nice gesture, but there are so many other things she could do to show her respect for a deceased loved one. And honestly, there are probably a lot more things that the family would need than some more flowers. It's the thought that counts - Not the monetary value.

Back to Blogging

So, I haven't had much success keeping my blogs up-to-date, but I'm going to try again. I think it is a wonderful outlet and something that our daughter, K, can look back on when she is older, and see all the cool stuff we did. So please check back soon, as I will have some pictures up this weekend. We have a beach day trip planned for Saturday, and my nephew's First Holy Communion on Sunday!
